There are several options in the market for digital dial indicators with several price ranges. There are also range of motion dial indicators that are available, so that the operator or mechanic only has to zero out the indicator one time per check. I have a link to a range of motion model made by CDI Chicago below. I would recommend you purchase an indicator that has at least a minimum of 0-1” inch range on the indicator probe. The most common is an indicator that has 0-1/2” range and this does not work well on different axle and hub combinations in the market.
